Visiting Dee Empresa Hotel, for Japanese Delicacies

Hi everyone, its been a while that I have not blogged about anything. Lets break the ice. I present you with my not-so-recent day out story with my friend. We spend weeks on planning on Goa trip and end up going to Digha. Similarly, we have planned on visiting several times for trying new places and new food joints and have miraculously failed each time. But, finally, we have managed to fulfill our plans and merged days of planning and activities within one single day. I can’t remember the exact date, but it was December. We have planned to visit as many restaurant as possible in one single day, and try out any one / two particular dishes from the menu. Due to out immense lazyness and shortage of time, we have managed to visit only a few places on the list.

We have successfully, visited four places from our wish list. Please click on the link below to view my experience with the food.

The first restaurant that has been selected by us was The Co. by Wok Anthems, of Dee Empresa Hotel.

Address: 12/2A, Dr. Md. Ishaque Road, Kyd Street, New Market Area, Dharmatala, Taltala, Kolkata, West Bengal 700016

How to Reach: The nearest metro station is Park Street. Its about 6 minutes walk from the metro station. It is better to follow the google direction because the place is little hard to find.

The entrance:  We were little unsure reaching the destination.

I have selected this place, due to the pocket friendly Japanese cuisine. I have therefore, planned on trying sushi for the first time.

Therefore, dishes ordered were:

Salmon Maki: ₹ 170 (at the time of visit)

Fireball Chicken: ₹ 150 (at the time of visit)

First on the menu was Salmon Maki. I have never tried sushi before, so had huge expectation.

We were presented with six pieces of salmon sushi accompanied with soya sauce. (I don’t event know what the green ball on the side of the plate was/ was for).

Personally, I ate only one because, I did not like the taste. Although my friend absolutely loved it and finished the plate. I guess, sushi is not meant for me and I won’t survive a day in Japan.

Second on the menu was Fireball Chicken. After the sushi episode, I did not had any expectation from the next dish. But, fortunately, it turned out to be absolutely great and cheered up my mood. The hot spicy balls just melted and busted in my mouth. Just loved the texture of the chicken balls.

We were presented with four balls of chicken. Coated with breadcrumbs, placed over a layer of spicy hot tomato sauce and topped with a mint leaf.

Overall, I loved the food and thumbs up.
